The Forest of Camelot


Overview
Camelot Woods or the "Forest of Camelot" is a privately owned Scouting retreat in a stand of cottonwood and willow trees adjacent to Hobble Creek and Utah Lake just to the west of I-15 Springville exit 265. It is a quaint little locale that is a lot of fun to look for butterflies. Turn west at the exit, then immediately turn north and park. Butterflies to be found at Camelot Woods include Western Tiger Swallowtails, (Papilio r. rutulus,) Viceroys, (Limenitis archippus lahontani,) Mourning Cloaks, (Nymphalis antiopa,) Satyr Comma's (Polygonia satyrus satyrus,) as well as others.
