Membership

Membership is welcome to all.  The cost for yearly membership is $20 per child.  Pre-registration is required. Please fill out this form and send checks made payable to Todd Stout at 1456 North General Drive, Salt Lake City, UT, 84116 by April 2, 2012 so that I can have Outernet kits ready by our first class.  My email address is todd_stout29@hotmail.com. 

Anyone not interested in paying dues is absolutely welcome to attend our meetings and field trips.  Our 2012 scheduled meetings will be held at the Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum in room 310 on the Brigham Young University Campus.  (See map below.)  Also, participation in Utah Butterfly Field Trips is encouraged and does not cost anything.

The Outernet Kit consists of a small butterfly net, styrofoam mounting board, a set of insect pins, pinning strips, a mounting box for pinned specimens, 50 glassine envelopes to store specimens, and a plastic container to raise caterpillars.  Also, membership in 2012 will also provide a free one-year membership to The Lepidopterists' Society courtesy of The Outernet Project.
