Valley Floor River Parkways:
Provo River Parkway

Overview
| The habitat
along the Provo River Parkway trail has several species of willows as well as
nettles, asters, sunflowers, and others. These species of plants attract
Western Tiger Swallowtails, (Papilio
r. rutulus,) Viceroys, (Limenitis
archippus lahontani,) Mourning Cloaks, (Nymphalis
antiopa,) and even an occasional Weidemeyer's Admiral, (Limenitis
weidemeyeri latifasica.)
Occasionally, Dainty Sulphurs (Nathalis iole,) will migrate north and use the local nodding-bur marigolds (Bidens cernua.) |
